11 KL MPs and Rubbish Incinerator

Today, Federal Territory Minister YB Tengku Adnan met 11 members of parliament from Kuala Lumpur (Taman Tun Razak MP was represented by an assistant) and 1 MP from Labuan. He showed professionalism.
We discussed many issues such as crimes, traffic congestion, rivers within Kuala Lumpur and public parks. Kuala Lumpur produces more than 3000 metric tonnes of rubbish or solid waste a day. We have to deal with this complicated issue.
On 18 June, 2013, Urban Well-being, Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Abdul Rahman announced the project to build a modern incinerator to burn rubbish at Taman Beringin, Jinjang North, Kepong. In July, his deputy Datuk Halimah told the House that the Government would seek public opinion and how comfortable they were with the incinerator project.
YB Tengku Adnan proposes that Urban Well-being, Housing and Local Government and Federal Territory Ministry meet all KL MPs to find a solution to the incinerator project.

Ensure the standard of doctors in Malaysia

"I hope to have some 50, 000 volunteers as the ministry's fighters in the war against non- communicable diseases like diabetes, heart diseases and cancer, " says the Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr S Subramaniam. "The National Health and Morbidity Survey 2011 found that more than 15% of Malaysian adults had diabetes, " he added.
We must prevent diabetes, heart diseases and cancer. Meanwhile, we must also ensure the standard of doctors in the country. For example, the Government appoints 4, 000 to 6, 000 new doctors a year.

Telco, Internet and public opinion

Millions of Malaysian students should be familiar with Internet and other aspects of information technology. The Government should create conducive atmosphere including modern facilities.
Since last year, the Education Ministry has appointed Telco as a contractor to provide broadband and 4G to schools with the estimated cost of RM663 million. Was there an open tender?
Hitherto, Telco has installed towers in 1784 schools in the country. The people near the schools concerned are worried about health hazards such as radioactivity.
The Government has not consulted the people before erecting Telco towers. Neither has it done study on their possible harmful effects.
