Private Agencies Act and security companies

Private security is an industry. For many years, we have brought up the matter in parliament. The answers from the Malaysian Home Ministry have always been that security companies are under the Private Agencies Act, there is training and security workers are from Nepal. The powers of police are not given to these companies.
Yesterday two brothers working as security guards at a primary school in Kuaka Lumpur kept a gun in their post; three men were arrested for illegal possession of firearms.
Residential areas that do not engage a security company often have break-ins, robbery and snatch thievings. Residents suspect that police allow these to happen so that they have to employ a security company. The Government must investigate and find out what actually happens.
