93% of terrorists rehabilitated

The Secretary-General of the Home Office says that 93% of terrorists under its programme are rehabilitated. In 5, 10  15 and 20 years, how many will revert to terrorism again? How many join IS?  Extremism and terrorism threaten society.


No terrorism in Malaysia

American embassy issued a terror alert about an attack in Jalan Alur, Kuala Lumpur, on 24 September, 2014. Five days later, Datuk Seri Zahid announced that 3 suspects had been detained and that the police were always ready to ensure there was no act of terrorism and no threat at all in Malaysia. We hope that police monitor and action are always effective.


Haze and President Jakowi

Disappointment. Indonesian President Jakowi says the measure to stop the practice of burning forest can take 3 years. We may experience haze disaster for years.

Ringgit value and cost of medical treatment

Health Minister Datuk Seri Subramaniam says the devaluation of ringgit will not affect patients in public hospitals in Malaysia. The drop of the value of the ringgit to USD1 to RM4.36 causes the price of medicines and equipment to go up. The Government must monitor the situation and help the people.

Outrageous drug price increase

The drug Daraprim has been used for 62 years, treating Toxoplasmosis parasite and some Aids patients. Turin Pharmaceuticals has bought over the company, raising the price from USD13.50 to USD750 a tablet, 5000%. For whatever excuses, this action is very outrageous.

The Malaysian Government has postponed the Public Accounts Committee's (PAC's) probe of 1MDB for nearly 3 months. This action is inappropriate. Now, the Central Bank Governor Tan Sri Zeti says that the ringgit is expected to recover once issues surrounding 1MDB are resolved.

Datuk Seri Zahid says taht there will be a new system next month to register foreign workers online. Now, there are 2.2 million registered foreign workers and probably over 10 million illegals. The problem is complex and the implications are serious. We need greater efforts to deal with the issue.

Haze and burning forest

Indonesian President Jakowi has a clear instruction that law enforcement must be firm to prevent haze. He said this when he announced on September 17, 2015 that the police had detained 7 people whose companies were allegedly connected with illegal agricultural fires with burning of the forest. Lets hope that this action is effective.

The Malaysian Central Bank Governor Tan Sri Zeti says that we must adapt to the global economic uncertainties. We need confidence, stability and good governance.

From 2001 to 2014, Malaysian Government bailed out MAS totalling RM17.4 billion. MAS has become Malaysian Airlines Berhad MAB. Out of 20000 emplouees, 11000 may lose their jobs. We hope that MAB succeed.
