e-Commerce in Malaysia

Now, Malaysians spend about RM13.6 million in e-commerce. In 10 years, the trade may be more than RM2 billion a year. We need to prevent fraud and other types of crimes.

In order for e-commerce to work and benefit all consumers; then protective barriers must be removed. Have you had your on-line purchases confiscated or being warned that the vitamins, health supplements or beauty products you are importing is an offence and you require an import license?
Malaysian e-businesses and consumers can benefit only when the Government accepts that the world is now one global marketplace. The sooner you acknowledge this the better it is for Malaysian entrepreneurs; we must jump onto the bandwagon before it is too late.
