2015 Malaysian Budget: SMEs contribute 41% GDP by 2020?

The Measure 13 of the budget aims at increasing the contribution of SMEs to GDP from 33% to 41% by 2020. The allocations include SME Investment Partner Fund RM350 million, Soft Loan Scheme for Automation and Modernisation of SMEs RM80 million, TEKUN additional funds RM500 million, soft loans for SME entrepreneurs from the Chinese Community RM50 million and RM30 for hawkers and petty traders.
     We desperately need high efficiency, earnestness and fairness.
