Forest fires reappear in Sumatra and Riau and are forecasted to continue until September 2015. The Malaysian Government must take action to deal with the haze.

Separation of rubbish in Malaysia

Malaysian Government will implement separation of rubbish in some areas such as Kuala Lumpur in September this year. This is consistent with environmental protection. Japan began solid waste separation 70 years ago and Taiwan followed siut about 50 years later. Japan has 1200 incinerators, burning rubbish that has been segregated.

Mass Rapid Transit MRT2

We don't know if 8 or 10 million migrants enter the country illegally. The registered ones are 2 million. The situation is complicated. There are enclaves of Achehnese, Javanese, Rohingyas , Myanmese, Bangladeshis and Nepalese. We hope that all concerned especially the Government take effective actions.

Mara is said to buy apartment in Melbourne

Media reports Mara has bought apartment in Melbourne and has been suspected of money-laundering amounting to RM14 million. This case involves public fund and it must be investigated.

Air pollution

Air pollution especially carbon is estimated to cause 7 million deaths a year. The temperature soars to 45 degrees Celcius in the Indian subcontinent: thousands in India and hundreds in Pakistan die.

Dengue in Malaysia

Since January till June, 2015, there are 2100 cases of dengue a week. 138 died. Selangor has 31207 cases, Perak 5571, Johore 3868, Kuala Lumpur 3383 and Penang 2630. A person with fever please see a doctor.

Mt Kinabalu is mauled. Landslides and mud flood destroyed. We hope that water supply to Ranau returns to normal. The Government must have policy and measures consistent with seismic activities such as in Ranau, Kundasan and Lahad Datu.

eSTM electronic vehicle ownership transfer system

If approved eSTM lets sellers and buyers of used cars to complete the transfer process without the need to go to the Road Transport Department. Road users are worried about irregularities in the department. They want the Government to take effective actions to ensure that everything is clean.

Human trafficking

The authorities managed to dick up 106 bodies in Perlis. These will be buried in Kedah. UN estimates about 900,000 persons are trafficked in the world annually: modern slavery.

2014 big floods and new houses for victims

The Government has promised the victims that their houses would be ready by the fasting month. Now, 12 families get their houses. Over 1900 families are waiting.

Science Advances journal shows that since 1900, 400 vertebrates on earth are extinct. This rate of extinction is 114 times faster than normal. Manmade?  Will living things be extinct? 65 million years ago, dinosaurs went extinct. Now, there are over 9 million species of animals and plants in the world.

Piracy and tanker Orkim Harmony

Eight perates snatched the tanker MT Orkim Harmony on 11.6.15 off the coast of Singapore. It carried 22 crews and petrol worth RM21 million. Various authorities such as navy, airforce and police identified and followed the ship even though the name was changed to Kim Harmon. On 19.6.15, the pirates ran. They have been detained by Vietnam armed force on Tho Chu Island. One crew is injured and 21 others and the petrol are safe. We are waiting for a thorough investigation. Piracy is a curse of South East Asia.
