On August 29, 2017, North Korea fired a missile over Japan. PM Abe calls it "unprecedented, serious and a grave threat". The UN condemns it as "outrageous". Trump tweets, "talking is not the answer". His Defence Secretary Mattis considers, "we are never out of diplomatic solutions". Meanwhile, Kim Jong-un plans his next step.

Hurricane Harvey

World Badminton Championship

The World Badminton Championship showed the excitement, expectations and disappointments. China won 2 golds, Denmark 1, Indonesia 1 and Japan 1. Viktor Axelsen denied Lin Dan a sixth gold. Chong Wei was out in the first round.  But women's single, Okuhara against Sindhu 21-19, 20-22, 22-20, showed endurance, determination and skills. Malaysia must get it right.
