Genetically modified organism, GMO.

The Malaysian Government has BioSecurity Act, Technical Committee and BioSecurity Board to approve import of GMOs, including rice, soya and corn. These are genetically modified organisms. As GMOs have effects on human beings, animals and plants, we hope that people pay attention.

Finance Ministry rejects the RM800 million claims for the pay back of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) because they do not fulfil criteria. We hope that the ministry helps tax payers reasonably.

Condolences to the family of Yohan Cruyff, who  passed,away because of lung cancer. He was 68. He was one of the best footballers in the world.

More IS suspects detained in Malaysia

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid said the police have detained another 15 IS suspects including a policewoman. So far, 177 militants have been arrested. We need reliable intelligence to pick up suspects before they explode their bombs in Malaysia.

Professor Mahanna of the University of Birmingham, England, uses cancer scan with radioactive dye to trace cancer cells in the neck and head, and posdibly the whole body. It works initially. We hope that it will help patients.

Bank Negara Governor independent

Tan Sri Zeti says Bank Negara Governor must be independent. He or she cannot be friendly with the Prime Minister. Malaysia must make sure that the above-stated Governor is truly not influenced by anybody.

About 2000 children a year are missing in Malaysia. 90% are found, the fate of 10% being unknown. Police should help. Parents must take care.

Schools in Kedah and Perlis states are closed for two days because of the heat waves. Other states wait for the decision of the Malaysian Education Ministry. Will the temperature go down?

Malaysia imports RM45.387 billion food

Can Malaysia be self-sufficient in food?  Agriculture Minister Dato' Seri Ahmad Shabery says Malaysia supplies only 20% of milk and beef in the country. Even poultry, the feed such as corn is imported. To plant enough corn and nadia (for milk) as feedmeal needs 400,000 hectares of land.

Tun Mahathir wants to depose Datuk Seri Najib, rubbing shoulders with the Opposition. Green energy

Can Malaysia's energy be green? The Royal Address mentions green growth. The Government must give the actual figures. Is it true that in the total energy genetation of over 19, 000 MW, about 63% are from gas, 21 coal, 10% hydro and 1% renewable energy? The 2015 target for renewable energy was 5%.

Can Malaysia always safeguard national interests?  The Yang di-Pertuan Agong, in his Royal Address, says that Malaysia signs the TPPA for a bigger market with Gross Domestic Products of RM27 trillion. We need efficiency, transparency and accountability.

Malaysian Government has identified 18 organizations and groups as terrorist organizations including IS (Daesh), Liberlation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), Boko Haram and Abu Sayyap Group (ASG). All must be alert.

English Premier League: Liverpool manager Klobb smiled with Liverpool 2:1 Chrystal Palace. He had tactics with 10 men and luck. His striker Benteke was in Palace's penalty area. But, Palace defender Delaney's knee touched his foot, he fell. He converted the penalty.

Tun Mahathir seems to be angry with the issue of 1MDB and political donations. He failed to unseat Datuk Seri Najib in Umno and left the party. He is hand in hand with opposition members,forming a front with thunderous atmostphere that threatens.

Since Tun Mahathir has stopped being Prime Minister from 2003, I have rarely commented on his political action. This time, he has underestimated Datuk Seri Najib, failing to depose the latter and leaving Umno for the second time. Using public fund, Najib must show transparency and accountability.
