MH17 crash: Eight days after the tragedy, the crash site of 35 square kilometres in Eastern Ukraine is unsecured. Ausralia sends 100 police, not 50 as initially announced, and Netherlands 40. Malaysia should send at least 45 to secure the site for investigation and recovery of remains of victims still left there.

MH17 crash:Australia offers 50 police to secure the site.

MH17 crash: Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott says 'the crash can't be called tragedy. The thing that happened is atrocity. ' He has spoken to Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukraine President Petro Poroshenko about sending Australian federal police to help secure the crash site in Eastern Ukraine.
     Apparently, the 50 constables are now in London. Will they go to Ukraine?
     While many bodies of the 298 victims are being flown to Eindhoven, Netherlands, there are still remains at the site of tragedy or atrocity. These and the evidence must be protected. All victims must be brought home.

Mass Rapid Transit: total cost RM50 billion?

Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) from Sungai Buloh to Kajang is 51 kilometres long. According to its Chief Executive Datuk Wira Azhar Abdul Hamid, hitherto jobs worth RM21 billion have been awarded and RM8.02 bil absorbed. Works progress is 47.63%.
     We face additional traffic congestion due to MRT works. We keep seeing that sign MMC Gamuda, the project partner. We think about the estimated total cost of RM50 billion.
     The public are keeping a close watch on the MRT project, wondering about the way the project has been awarded, the system of tender and the effectiveness of monitoring.
     This is the Government's biggest infrastructure project. It would have to show the most excellent transparency and accountability and the best value for money.

MH17 crash: The Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib moves an emergency motion in the House to extend his sympathy and condolences to families of 298 victims, to condemn the inhumane action to shoot down MH17, to form an independent international body to have a comprehensive investigation and to bring those responsible to justice.
     In the war zone of Eastern Ukraine, it needs more than hard work to overcome the difficulties and to achieve above-stated objectives.

MH17 crash: There were 298 victims in the tragedy in which the airliner was shot down in Eastern Ukraine. Among them, 189 were Dutch. Kiev says that the Netherlands leads the investigation; her forensic experts are at the crash site. Full access is essential.

Lack of firefighting equipment in highrise flats.

Today, Dr Tan Seng Giaw, DAP members and residents looked at the lack of firefighting equipment and emergency lift not functioning in highrise flats, Taman Mutiara Fadason, Jinjang North. Two days ago, a 7 5 - year - old man had a massive stroke in his unit half way up the highrise flats. As emergency lift did not work, firemen walked up the stars, wrapped the patient with blanket, carried him down the stairs and raced the ambulance to Selayang Hospital. He died a few hours later.
     Similar problems occur in some highrise flats in other parts of Malaysia. Any solution?
     Dr Tan will present the problems in parliament.

Wimbledon Tennis Open: thrilling men's final.

Wimbledon Tennis Open is the world's oldest and most prestigious tennis championship. It is over 100 years.
     Switzerland's Federer has won Wimbledon men's single title seven times. The match between him and Serbia's Djokovic yesterday went into five sets. Finally, Djokovic prevailed with a slim margin. The match was thrilling with exquisite displays of good tennis. Djokovic won the championship for the second time.
     On the other hand, the women's final was between Kvitova (24) from Czech and Bouchard (20) from Canada. The former won in straight sets, 6-3,6-0.
     Kvitova won Wimbledon in 2011. Then, her performance went down because of various factors such as dealing with events that came with winning a grand slam. She has recovered,  showing that she is a cut above Bouchard.
      With the full support from her family, the talented Bouchard went from Canada to the Tennis School in Miami, USA. She has done well. She will strive to do better.

Holland goes into the semifinal with one more penalty goal than Costa Rica. Holland's coach van Gaal paid attention to penalty shoots; he replaced goalkeeper Cillossen with Kru who saved 2 penalty shots.
     Costa Rica came to the World Cup finals for the first. They showed their quality. They reached the last eight.

It is said that some Malaysians cheat people in China and vice versa. Macau fraudsters use local runners to steal vast sum from Malaysians' bank accounts. They misuse name of banks such as Bank Negara, Maybank and Ambank and people's feeling about money laundering. Many fall victims.
     Normally, banks especially Bank Negara do not ask clients' personal details by telephone, SMS or email.
